Costa Rica 2019 STEM Expedition: Pre-Departure Welcome

Welcome fellow travelers to our Costa Rica STEM Expedition 2019 Blog. This is the third Holbrook STEM Expedition we (Joyce and Page) have had the pleasure of leading. Two years ago we went to Iceland, last year Panama, and this year Costa Rica. We are looking forward to learning more about Costa Rica's conservation efforts; sustainable practices in energy and use of natural resources, biodiversity, marine sciences, education, tropical ecosystems, and more.

STEM Expedition Leaders: Joyce Tugel and Page Keeley

We have a fabulous itinerary planned, with lots to see, experience, and learn about and even some down time to explore the rainforest on your own. But the best part of the trip is what all of us contribute as a group. There is much to learn from each other!

Our destinations

As we travel to the national parks and reserves throughout Costa Rica, Joyce and I will post summaries of our days along with photos (depending on internet availability- it may not be every day). We will invite you to give us quotes to capture your thoughts and feelings about our experiences. Feel free to share this link with your friends and family so they can follow you on the trip or save the link and use it as a record of your experience. Photos will also be posted on Twitter at @CTSKeeley and Instagram at s.pagekeeley.

Safe travels and we will see you in San Jose on July 20, 2019
